Airfoil Near Wake Turbulent Properties at Maximum Aerodynamic Efficiency Condition

Short abstract: From the standpoint of aerodynamic forces, maximum aerodynamic efficiency is the condition where the lift produced for a given amount of drag is at its highest. While the magnitude and the condition at which the maximum aerodynamic efficiency occurs is different for different airfoil profiles, the flow conditions that exist around the wing that brings about the maximum aerodynamic efficiency is unclear.
